Well, at least it wasn't raining.
It wasn't warm out, but it wasn't freezing, either. Just that temperature that if you didn't put on a jacket of some sort you'd be cold, but if you did you'd be too hot. So, for Darvala, she had hers on half-way; the arms in, and the rest hanging down in front of her. Of course, it could be much worse, right?
Upon seeing a building that looked promising in the near distance after watching the ground for some time, Darvala completely took her hoodie off, and strapped it around her waist. The cold bit at her bare arms and face, but now she didn't mind. Her future was right in front of her, why worry about something as minimal as the weather. Bad weather wouldn't stop her.
Darvala was glad of the positioning of the building; for now, it was a huge windblock, though it was still chilly. She reached for the door handle, turned it slowly and opened it, peering into the dim room beyond, compared to it being quite bright outside. "Hello?" she called, shutting the door gently behind her. Well, someonee had to be there, right? Hopefully this was even the right place... That would be totally embarassing if she had come to a... Different place, like a spa or something, like her mom had done a few times by sheer accident.

((Sorry I'm late getting to it, our old computer wouldn't load it.))
Professor Maple yanked open the door. "Hello, you must be a new trainer. Come on in, please." he said, shepherding Darvala inside.
Mia the Arcanine glanced up from her work of sorting Pokeballs. Seeing the new trainer, she padded up to her, sniffing. Unsure whether this was one of those wierd DNA people she'd once seen Maple do with a Buneary and a Pidgey once. He'd spliced them together for reasearch, and ended up with a winged Buneary and a wingless long-eared Pidgey with a pom-pom tail. ~Hello. Can you understand me?~
Maple smiled. "Do you know which perticular Pokemon you would like? A type, or such?" he asked. He hoped she wouldn't ask for a Riou, despite the fact that he looked like the person who would. It was surprising how you could learn so much about people's Pokemon by being in a lab. But he wasn't sure if this person was ready for a shiny. Especially such a self-obsessed one like this one. Ah, well.
