As much as we hate to have them, every site must have rules, otherwise they simply collapse. Our rules are quite simple, and are as follows:
1) Be courteous and polite to fellow members. This rule is probably the most important. Please, if you don't like member X's character profile, or think member Y does not make very high quality posts, then please, keep it to yourself.
2) Watch your language. We have swear filters in this website, but please refrain from posting anything rude anyway. Censoring is allowed, e.g. 'Oh ****', or for a particularly loudmothed character, possibly 'Oh s***', but nothing more.
3) Godmoding will not be tolerated. For those of you who don't know what Godmoding is, it's basically taking control of somebody else's character. For example,
'Billy snarled and punched Harry in the face. He was sent flying into a tree and nearly fainted. Harry gave a scream of terror and began running as fast as he could.'
Ugh. You're limited to your character's actions, and nothing more. For example,
'Billy snarled. Suddenly, he balled his hand up into a fist, and swung it in an attempt to punch Harry in the face.'
Then the member you're roleplaying with might post:
'Harry yelled, and was sent flying into a tree. He felt woozy, but got to his feet.'
See the difference? And this brings us to our next rule...
4) Violence. Please, I know that pokémon battle with each other, and may get hurt, but no excessive violence. Keep it PG-13 at the most. Nothing along the lines of:
'Blood spurted out of a deep wound along Charmander's side. He groaned, and you could see his guts spilling out over the cobblestones as he-'
Do I really have to continue?
5) Don't go against the word of a moderator. It's as simple as that. If, for example, a moderator thinks you are Godmoding to win a battle, then they have the authority to Godmode back and make you lose the battle. If you argue with a moderator, then you will be punished. If you really are upset or dissatisfied with a moderator, then PM one of the admins about it - don't go into a loud argument.
