Jenni and Sami stepped onto route one, talking about what pokemon they wanted to catch. Sarge and Dante walked beside their trainer, keeping their senses alert for any pokemon that could be nearby.

A soft mew of some sort drifts through the air, as a half transparent poke'mon gently floats down in front of you two. He looks at the ground, and paws at it once curtly. He then bows to you, his paw still in the ground. He stands back up straightly, and meows again. All of a sudden, a second male drifst down next to the first. They seem to be brothers. The second one bows like the first. I think they are challenging you, but in a polite way. Sami and Jenni have encountered two Swiftans! Species: Swiftan Genders: Male Natures: They both seem to be polite, though the second one a bit fiestier.

Jenni and Sami stopped as they saw the Swiftan challenge them, looked at each other, then called for their pokemon to battle. "Tackle!" Both trainers shouted at the same time. Sarge and Dante charged toward the Swiftan, hoping to tackle their opponants.

It seems the second Swiftan took the attack, but swiftly and slowly moved around Dante and used a swift poisen tail, landing a clean hit on Dante's side. The first though, missed the attack, and used poisen tail on Sarge, but it missed and he scolded himself. He wanted to prove he was worthy enough to defeat a pet poke'mon.

"Howl, Sarge!" Yelled Sami to her starter. The poochyena raised his head and howled, raising his attack and hoping to spook the swiftan he was batteling.
Dante landed on his side with a yelp, but was quickly on his feet, ready to attack. "Leer!" Called Jenni to her partner. The flarepup narrowed his eyes at the swiftan he was batteling, hoping to lower his attack and catch him offgaurd in order to get a direct hit on his next turn.

The Swiftan which heard the howl did get spooked. In fact, he sprinted off. Not a good idea when you want to actually catch, the poke'mon. The one who came after the first, however, was still there. He looked at Flarepup like he was an idiot, unaware that his attack was just lowered. letting out a battle cry, (Not the move roar) he charged at the Flarepup with a poisen tail.

Sami watched as one of the swiftan ran away, obviously spooked by Sarge's howl. Sarge was enjoying the battle and wanted to go after the swiftan, but decided to stay where he was, maybe the swiftan would return to continue their battle.
Dante jumped to the side in an attempt to dodge the poison tail, but was hit on his flank. Jenni noticed Dante was beginning to look ill, and realized he had been poisoned. "Hang in there, Dante! Tackle!" Dante shook himself before charging the swiftan, hoping to end the battle quickly.

The Swiftan was hit by the tackle, and let out a very high pitched yelp. It was injurered, and though it was small, it struggled for a minute, leaving it wide open for a poke'ball.
The second one did not return.

Jenni tossed a pokeball at the swiftan, waiting with baited breath to see if she had captured her first pokemon. Dante was looking sicker by the second, he wouldn't be able to stay up much longer.
Sami and Sarge watched the rest of the battle quietly, cheering for their friend as she threw the pokeball.

Jenni cheered as the pokeball stopped shaking, regaining her composure quickly as she remembered Dante needed to be healed. She rooted through her pack, relieved when she found an antidote inside. Dante felt much better as soon as he was sprayed, he was returned to his pokeball to rest and regain his strength.
Sami congratulated her cousin on her first catch before they continued to walk along the path again.

A mysterious, low, rumbling growl in a nearby bush startled a group of Rattata, who scurried out of sight. The soft growl turned into a feral snarl, and finaly a loud, passionate howl. It was enough to fill any heart with pain and sympathy. It was a sound, pure and soulful, of mourning.

Both girls jumped as the growling started, becoming more frightened as the growl turned into snarls and finaly a mournful howl. "I wonder if someone was killed?" Jenni wondered out loud, looking in the direction of the howl. Sarge and Dante suddenly started howling, offering their mournful calls to the mourning pokemon.

The howling stopped abruptly. The savage growling started again. From the bush leapt a oddly coloured Growlithe, sparks of suffering and misery showing in its eyes. As it snarled pitifully, crystal clear tears flew off its sad, extinguised eyes. ~Are you here to rip out my very DNA again? WELL?! You... you.. Aeros killed my parents! Oh... oh... their DNA... in me... keep me alive... what's... the... POINT!" The cream Growlithe with a busy red tail, the reverse Growlithe, swayed. It had obviously been through a lot. It's eyes rolled, it's mouth frothed, and it crashed to the ground. It lay very still, its eyes closed. Luckily, shallow, pained breathing could just be seen.

Sami gasped as the growlithe fainted, tears of sadness already running down her face. "We have to help him!" She shouted, putting her pack onto the ground, grabbing a potion and revive from a pocket. She sprayed the growlithe with the potion first before spraying the revive.
Sarge and Dante dropped into battle stances when the growlithe appeared in case he attacked thier trainers. Sarge's ears perked as he listened to the growlithe's rant, whining with concern when he fainted. Dante remained watched on in silence, not daring to drop his gaurd should the growlithe attack.
Jenni watched as Sami attended to the fainted growlithe, hoping the growlithe would be alright physically, though she knew he wouldn't be mentally.
